Join a Growing Renewable Energy Business
Ramki is a family-run business specialising in renewable heating, cooling, ventilation and solar systems for homeowners across London. For over 50 years, we have built our reputation on quality workmanship, excellent customer service and delivering technically advanced systems that genuinely improve the comfort, health and energy efficiency of our customers' homes.
We work on a wide variety of residential projects, from heating system upgrades and heat pump installations through to complete renewable energy solutions. As demand for renewable technologies continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Heat Pump Lead Engineer to take ownership of installations on our most high-end projects.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for an experienced heat pump engineer who wants to lead on site, take real ownership of high-end residential projects, and build toward a broader skill set across our full renewable system range. You will join a business that is passionate about doing things properly and delivering high-quality work. We are looking for someone who leads by example, takes pride in precision and is excited to grow their trade further.
Working on high-end residential projects across London and the surrounding areas, you will lead the installation and commissioning of heat pump systems, with training provided in:
- Underfloor Heating Systems
- Radiant Heating & Cooling Systems
- Mechanical Ventilation & Heat Recovery (MVHR)
- Smart Controls & System Integration
- Fan Coil Systems
No two projects are the same. Some weeks you'll be leading a small team on a heat pump installation; others you'll be working solo, delivering to the exacting standard our clients and architects expect on some of London's most innovative sustainable homes.
What We're Looking For
You will be:
- An experienced Heat Pump Engineer with 35 years' hands-on installation experience
- Gas Safe registered
- Able to demonstrate experience leading or supervising engineers on site
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, often in the same week
- A strong communicator, confident working alongside architects, main contractors and other trades on site
- Proud of delivering quality workmanship every time
- Genuinely passionate about engineering, precision and doing things right
Essential Requirements
- Current Gas Safe registration
- 35 years' heat pump installation experience
- Demonstrable experience leading engineers on site
- Full UK driving licence
- Own van and tools
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 3 Award in Installation of Heat Pump Systems (e.g. City & Guilds 6336 or BPEC) desirable, not essential if equivalent hands-on experience can be demonstrated
What We Offer
- £300-£380 per day depending on experience
- Ongoing training and development across MVHR, radiant heating and cooling, fan coils and smart controls
- High-end, technically interesting projects across London and the surrounding areas
- A supportive, family-run team environment
- Real scope to influence how the business delivers, not just follow a manual
