Job Description
Join Ramboll as a Principal Landscape Planner and be part of a leading design, engineering, and consultancy company with a national landscape team based in multiple offices including Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, and Oxford. We work collaboratively to create sustainable societies where people and nature flourish.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering landscape planning packages across all project stages, including client interface, feasibility, appraisal, stakeholder consultation, and monitoring.
- Leading meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Mentoring junior staff and collaborating with the wider landscape team.
- Ensuring high-quality, technically accurate work.
- Contributing to business development activities such as proposals and tenders.
- Utilizing digital tools for design and assessment.
- Conducting site visits and technical photography.
- Preparing landscape planning outputs, including visual evidence.
About You
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute.
- Experience advising on landscape planning, especially in renewable energy sectors.
- Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues and external partners.
- Team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Organized, able to prioritize, and work independently.
- Proficient in IT packages such as Microsoft Office, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Personal qualities include a good understanding of related environmental, design, and engineering disciplines, flexibility to work on diverse projects, and the ability to collaborate across teams and with external clients.
