Our culture is built on openness, understanding, and respect, allowing you to shape your role to match your working style, aspirations, and personal life. Our Nordic heritage drives our commitment to improving conditions for people and nature through our projects. As a foundation‑owned multinational company, the profit we make is reinvested into the company to support employee development, research, charity, and humanitarian projects. Our commitment to be "The Partner for Sustainable Change" ensures your work makes a meaningful impact on people, communities, and the environment. Ramboll cannot sponsor post‑study or Skilled Worker visas for early‑career roles. You must have the right to live and work in the UK indefinitely without sponsorship at any time.

We at Ramboll are a global organisation working across a wide range of projects worldwide. Our Tunnels and Underground Spaces team sits within our Major Projects division and manages projects such as the world’s longest immersed tube tunnel, the Fehrman Belt Link, and smaller pipe‑jacking and HDD projects in the energy sector. Working on projects from tender through handover and existing asset assessment, you will gain experience across rail, highways, energy, geotechnics and more. This role is available in Leeds and London. You will work within the Tunnels & Underground Spaces department, delivering safe, efficient designs for tunnels, shafts and subsurface structures that support modern cities.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be to:

  • Contribute to the overall design and delivery of transport‑related projects throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform analysis using computer modelling; create, read, and interpret technical material.
  • Develop digital tools and approaches to solve engineering challenges for our clients.
  • Translate engineering concepts and solutions into presentations, reports, sketches, drawings and infographics that communicate their essence to clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify potential health & safety, design, and commercial risks and contribute towards mitigating them.
  • Proactively pursue continuous professional development, including working towards chartership with a recognised institution.

We believe your starting point for this role is:

  • A Bachelors or Masters level degree in a relevant engineering discipline (General Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Engineering Geology).
  • Ability to summarise and present information via different channels (report writing, PowerPoint, hand sketching).
  • A proactive and positive attitude to learning new skills; you must be driven and a self‑starter.
  • An understanding of Digital Automation. We don’t expect you to know everything, but you should demonstrate curiosity, take responsibility, and aim to deliver high‑quality work. Good communication and collaboration skills are essential.

This role is available in Leeds and London.

Deadline for applications: Wednesday 10th June 2026
