We are seeking an inspirational and visionary leader to join us as Global Head of Digital Design & Production. In this pivotal role, you will lead a transformation in how we design, simulate, fabricate, and deliver sustainable solutions. You will oversee the development of our global production platforms and production processes, champion AI-powered and agentic approaches, and operationalize ambient and spatial computing.

Your new role

As the Global Head of Digital Design & Production, you will:

• Lead the strategic transformation of our production environment and production processes, driving convergence between design, simulation, digital fabrication, and delivery
• Implement an agentic AI architecture where intelligent agents orchestrate end-to-end production tasks-from code generation to simulation workflows and design iterations
• Embed ambient computing across our digital production ecosystems, creating context-aware environments that integrate live project data, IoT sensor streams, and user interactions
• Champion spatial computing to combine design models, simulation data, and real-time site conditions in immersive, interactive platforms
• Ensure seamless data interoperability across tools and platforms from major vendors like Autodesk, Bentley, Trimble, Esri, and Schneider Electric-decoupling our data from proprietary ecosystems
• Spearhead the integration of business outcomes into intelligent systems, fostering the evolution of production processes from being explicitly human-driven to implicitly AI-driven and adaptive to changes

Areas of responsibility

Vision & Strategy:

• Define and execute Ramboll\’s global vision for Digital Design & Production with a strong focus on sustainability, digital twins, AI, and next-generation computing
• Establish KPIs and value-driven metrics to evaluate impact, adoption, and innovation

Platform & Production Systems:

• Own the global production stack, overseeing the evolution of interoperable, scalable platforms
• Drive the shift toward modular, data-centric production processes that combine AI, digital twins, and cloud-based collaboration

AI, Spatial & Ambient Technologies:

• Integrate multimodal AI systems to automate and augment engineering workflows
• Build a spatial computing layer where users engage with contextual design data in real time
• Develop ambient computing environments that dynamically respond to project phases, user roles, and live operational data

Productization:

• Lead the creation of reusable design components and scalable service offerings
• Support the development of toolkits, APIs, and automation pipelines that reduce delivery time while enhancing design quality and performance

Change Management & Capability Building:

• Guide Ramboll through a comprehensive digital transformation, equipping teams with the tools, training, and mindsets to succeed
• Collaborate closely with Ramboll\’s Global Business Areas to align strategy, investments, and digital talent development

About You

• Deep experience in the AEC industry, particularly within digital transformation, integrated production workflows, and data-driven design delivery
• Bachelor\’s or master\’s degree in engineering, computer science, architecture, or a related field
• Proven leadership in deploying complex digital systems, AI platforms, or advanced simulation environments
• Ability to inspire cross-functional teams, influence global stakeholders, and drive large-scale change
• Passion for sustainability, user-centric innovation, and using technology to make a measurable difference
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
