Your New Role

As our new (Senior) Exterior Lighting Engineer, you will expand your experience and expertise in external lighting designs within our highways team across diverse projects, including ports, highways, urban areas, and landscapes. Additionally, you will contribute to the exterior lighting aspects for our marine, environment & health, MEP, buildings, structures, and infrastructure teams within our global company.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Producing lighting and electrical designs from concept through to construction in a multi-discipline environment
  • Preparing technical reports, specifications, design input statements, and lighting environmental impact assessments
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence
  • Engaging with external stakeholders and building collaborative relationships

About You

You will have gained or be working towards an Incorporated Engineer/CEng status and have appropriate experience within the exterior lighting discipline. You should hold membership (Associate or full) of a professional lighting organization (ILP, SLL) and have completed an ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma, LET Lighting Diploma, or equivalent (not essential). You must be proficient in using Lighting Reality software and have experience with National Highways and local authority lighting designs, and Design & Build Contracts. Familiarity with the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) is also required.
