Job Description

Are you experienced in healthcare and interested in joining our UK Healthcare Division? Do you enjoy solving complex sustainability and engineering issues? Are you motivated to create sustainable societal and environmental change? If so, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a sustainable future as part of our UK team.

Your new role

You will be part of our expanding UK Healthcare Team, responsible for client liaison, business development, key account management, and delivering advisory and design solutions across the UK and internationally. Flexible working from any primary office or home is available. Key projects include Hillerod Hospital Denmark, Cambridge Children’s Hospital, Royal Marsden, and Shrewsbury & Telford Women and Children’s Hospital.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting team leadership and development
  • Managing your projects from conception to detailed design
  • Ensuring technical excellence and outstanding client service
  • Acting as project manager, allocating resources and coordinating tasks
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Enhancing the profile of the UK Healthcare Team
  • Developing structural concepts and design philosophies
  • Communicating with clients and stakeholders
  • Implementing sustainable, zero-carbon, innovative design practices
  • Visiting sites for design development and review
  • Participating in technical groups and continuous improvement initiatives

About you

We support your professional growth and require:

  • Experience with UK Healthcare projects, such as hospital construction
  • Relevant engineering degree and Chartered Engineer status or support towards it
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects of varying complexity
  • Knowledge of digital and parametric design, assessment, retrofit, and structural testing
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Autonomous work capability and leadership qualities
