We invite you to bring your project management expertise to our UK Healthcare team, as you contribute to our team delivering sustainable healthcare building projects, both in the UK and overseas. To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills and experience of the design and construction of healthcare buildings.

Our senior project manager will be responsible for client liaison on our healthcare projects and for managing the delivery of Ramboll's engineering advisory and design services through all project stages. Our Healthcare projects range from major new build facilities, through to refurbishment of existing facilities as well as sustainability and decarbonisation focussed interventions.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Management and delivery of engineering advisory and design services for healthcare building projects, from inception/feasibility through to completion/handover.
  • Managing and supporting our Multidisciplinary design consultancy team and specialist sub-consultants, including Quantity Surveyors, Architects and specialist designers.
  • Ensuring that our scope, contracts, programmes, change management, risk registers, budgets and QA procedures are in place, maintained and used by our in house teams and specialist sub-consultants.
  • Arranging and leading coordination meetings.
  • Ensuring our internal governance procedures are followed.
  • Assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of all project activities including preparing Monthly Reports, Minutes and Programmes, and delivery of presentations when required.
  • Ensuring coordinated and high-quality deliverables from our multidisciplinary engineering teams and specialist sub-consultants.
  • Manage your own projects and support engineering discipline leads to allocate resources and co-ordinate tasks.
  • Representing Ramboll and developing positive and collaborative working relationships with the project team, clients and contractors.
  • Positively raise the profile and reputation of Ramboll and our UK Healthcare Team.
  • Support to bid teams and preparation of proposals for multi-disciplinary tenders alongside the discipline team leaders.

  • Supporting the delivery of projects to budget, time and quality.
  • Creating positive working relationships with Design teams.
  • Coordinating design deliverables and ensuring quality outputs.
  • Developing safe, sustainable and profitable solutions.

  • Must have demonstrable experience with multi-disciplinary team management of UK Healthcare projects, such as the building of new or refurbishment of existing hospitals within the UK.
  • Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • MAPM or qualifications leading to full individual membership of an appropriate institution.
  • Have a thorough understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360.
  • Excellent and demonstrable project management skills, with the ability to run multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Experience of managing commercial processes on projects.
  • Understanding of project commercial and technical risks, procurement methods and contract administration requirements.
  • Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts in plain language, verbally and in writing.
  • Able to interrogate financial information and write high quality reports.
  • Able to motivate and inspire confidence both internally and externally across geographical borders.
  • Able to manage stakeholder requirements and communicate them back to project teams, both in the UK and across geographical borders.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • A client centric approach.
