Join a team that turns complex infrastructure opportunities into lasting impact. At Ramboll Management Consulting, we help investors, owners, and operators evaluate and improve infrastructure assets while combining commercial, technical, environmental, and ESG insight in one integrated offer. We have the ambition to become one of the leading advisors in the system-driven investor landscape.
Why join Ramboll: Join a purpose-driven consultancy where commercial excellence meets deep technical and environmental insight. At Ramboll, you’ll be part of a foundation-owned company that prioritises people, long-term value, and societal impact. We offer a unique blend of strategic advisory and hands-on engineering expertise, giving you the platform to shape the future of sustainable infrastructure investments.
You will work in an agile, entrepreneurial environment, being close to clients, close to decisions, and able to see your impact directly reflected in the transactions you help unlock, while being supported by a global network across Energy, Transport, Water, Buildings, and Environment & Health. Here, you’ll grow your career while contributing to projects that genuinely make a difference in transitioning societies toward a more resilient future.
The role:
- Lead and build the UK finance team: Be a key member of Ramboll’s finance team in the UK, helping to shape and grow the team and our services. You will have responsibility for growth, developing business plans, strengthening key accounts, bringing new services and managing team members.
- Own the deal flow: Build, qualify, and manage an actionable pipeline of infrastructure M&A projects across energy transition, transport, and related assets through an existing and/or new network of investors, lenders, advisors, and industry operators.
- Client relationship & business development: Deepen relationships with infrastructure funds, pension investors, and banks, and run periodic insights/outreach to stay top‑of‑mind for live and upcoming M&A deals.
- Integrated Due Diligence leadership: Advise on buy-side and sell-side due diligence processes across commercial, technical, and environmental streams, translating multi-disciplinary findings into crisp investment theses and value‑creation roadmaps.
- Create client-ready insights: As part of project execution teams, lead the development of market assessments, regulatory outlooks, CAPEX/OPEX bridges, O&M and asset‑condition implications, and ESG risk & opportunity narratives that directly inform investment decisions.
What you’ll bring:
- Deal experience: 5–7+ years in M&A/transactions (consulting, investment banking, infrastructure fund, corporate development), with tangible experience across multiple closed or advanced deals.
- Infrastructure fluency: Sector knowledge in one or more of energy transition (renewables, storage, grids, green fuels), transport & logistics, water & waste, or digital infrastructure.
- Investor network: Active relationships with infrastructure investors and ecosystem players (lenders, advisors, operators) and the confidence to open doors and create new ones.
- Orchestration skills: Experience working with multi-disciplinary due diligence processes, including commercial, technical, environmental/ESG workstreams, and synthesising cross-functional outputs into a single investment story and clear recommendations.
- Communication: Craft clear and convincing investment narratives.
What’s in it for you:
- A genuinely integrated M&A platform: Work shoulder to shoulder with technical engineers and ESG specialists to deliver a one-stop shop Integrated DD that clients repeatedly choose for efficiency, depth, and quality.
- Purpose with performance: Be part of a foundation-owned consultancy with a sustainability backbone and the scale to move markets with 18,000 people across 35 countries.
- Flexibility & belonging: We support where, when, and how you do your best work, and we are committed to an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
