As a Senior Cabling Specialist, you will join a team of more than 50 HV, MV, and LV experts working primarily in the global energy sector. Our focus is on offshore wind, power‑to‑X, carbon capture and energy transition projects, covering all phases of project delivery from concept and feasibility studies to detailed engineering, EPC and follow‑on engineering.
Responsibilities
- Review tender documents and prepare draft proposals covering technical, commercial items and resource planning.
- Review project documents and prepare technical reports.
- Participate in internal meetings and client meetings.
- Prepare design basis in cooperation with various departments.
- Conduct submarine and onshore cable rating and thermal calculations.
- Lead cable projects (submarine or onshore cable scope).
- Assess interfaces with transit joint bays, onshore and offshore substations, and civil works.
- Inspect cable factory and site during manufacturing and installation (travel abroad may be required).
Qualifications
- Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering.
- +5 years’ experience in submarine or onshore (underground) HV cable system design (66 kV up to 400 kV).
- Experience in Cymcap or other cable rating software.
- Experience working with cable-related international and local standards.
- Fluent in English; local languages are a plus for dealing with local clients.
- Experience in cable installation and civil works is a big plus.
