Do you want to be part of the Installation and commissioning supervisor team for our clients Wind Turbine Farm in the UK? We need supervisors to guide management and liaise with backāoffice engineers to ensure the electrical installation and commissioning of the Wind Turbine farm, creating a clear insight into progress, risks, quality, and safety on site. The supervisors shall as well motivate progress and a safe work culture, through contractor engagement, coordination, and collaboration.
Your new role: As one of our Electrical Site supervisors, you will work with the project team to deliver solutions to our clients. You will be part of the Energy division in the UK. You will be a part of an organisation that is flexible, innovative, international, and supportive to our clients. You will collaborate with your colleagues and play a critical role in the installation and commissioning of the Wind Turbine Farm onshore and offshore.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Facilitate constructive and factābased communication between activities at site, WTG Electrical Installation & Commissioning Management, and backāoffice functions within the project.
- Provide honest observationābased feedback on progress and quality, enabling the WTG Electrical Installation & Commissioning Manager to conduct solid risk assessments and present realistic forecasts to project management.
- Be a role model for safe behaviour, inspiring contractors, subācontractors, and site visitors to always think safety before quality and progress.
- Engage with the contractor and working party foremen to understand and obtain knowledge of issues related to quality and progress.
- Facilitate alignment meetings with backāoffice engineers, Client QA on other sites, and onāsite contractor team leads.
- Update Electrical Installation & Commissioning Management on system specific progress, risks, and quality.
- Review contractor ITP and test plans and procedures, and witness all test phases based on the Critical to Functionality (CtF) and Critical to Quality (CtQ) guidelines.
- Supervise delivery of equipment, ensuring that all damages and missing equipment is recorded and addressed to the contractor.
- Supervise the contractors' handling and installation of equipment during the outfitting and electrical installation.
- Coordinate the onāsite cross contractor interfaces and collaboration.
- Supervise qualification of the installed equipment and cables.
- Execute Low Voltage and High Voltage Authorised Person (LV AP and HV AP) scope.
- Execute inspections and tests relevant for the Test After Completion prior to asset handover to Generation.
- Provide lessons learned and improvement proposals based on NCR's, punches, and through using the processes and procedures supplied by the functional line department.
- Take location and taskābased safety training and report to the Client QHSE representative on site.
Deliverables and success criteria:
- Completed Commissioning Document Register (CDR).
- Record system progress and provide daily input to the Daily Progress Report (DPR).
- Minutes of Meeting from regular alignment meetings.
- Rectified and closed out punches for all electrical and electromechanical systems.
- Recorded lessons learned and improvement proposals.
- Inform about HSE related observation.
About you: Positive mindset, solution oriented with focus on safety, quality, and progress. Open minded and adaptable to the flexible environment needed. Flexible in terms of working rotations onshore and offshore.
Qualifications and requirements: Have recent experience and obtained competencies with installation, test, and commissioning of dynamic systems, equipment, components, and cables. UKOG Medical + Chester Step Test (minimum rating: above average). GWO training, following GWO Basic Safety Training Standard, GWO Enhanced First Aid Training Standard, GWO Control of Hazardous Energies Standard, and GWO High Voltage Standard. Possess a bachelor or higher educational degree within subject matter field of engineering or possess experiences and obtained competences from installation, test and commissioning of large Wind Turbine Generators.
