To succeed in this role you must have an extensive track record in delivering airfield infrastructure projects, and have a Civil Engineering degree.

As our new Director – Airfield Infrastructure you will be part of our specialist airfield civils team – a team of eight experienced airfield engineers. The core aviation team is based in Chester, London and Manchester, but location is flexible for the right candidate. The role requires an inquisitive mind, capable of developing innovative and sustainable outcomes to support our clients. There will likely be travel opportunities both within the UK and internationally.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Technical leadership, mentorship and review
  • Airfield infrastructure design at all RIBA stages for both traditional and design and build procurement
  • Project Management
  • Management of project cost and budget
  • Management of project risk and opportunity
  • Support and development of junior staff
  • Support business development and work winning

Your starting point for constant growth includes:

  • Extensive experience of leading and delivering airfield infrastructure projects across all RIBA work stages
  • Extensive experience of undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
  • Extensive experience of delivering design of new airfield infrastructure
  • Extensive experience in review, assessment and design of any alterations to existing airfield infrastructure
  • Chartered engineer
  • Extensive experience of delivering airfield infrastructure and civil design in accordance with Eurocode and UK Building Regulations
  • Experience and understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 including Principal Designer role
  • Potential for succession to current Airfield Infrastructure Director
