Your new role
As an Environmental Consultant for Due Diligence (DD), you will be part of our busy UK transactions team supporting fast-paced UK and global M&A transactions.
You willassistwiththe identificationof key EHS and ESG risks and opportunities and providehigh-quality, targeted advice to clients on both buy-side and sell-side due diligence projects
Our team advises on transactions across a wide range of sectors, typically including industrial, commercial and infrastructure assets and businesses, often for finance sector clients.
We work closely with in-house specialists across several EHS and ESG disciplines toprovidetargeted due diligence advice.
Our clients use this advice to support negotiations during the bidding process and o to make informed impactful decisions on sustainability priorities post-acquisition.
You will play a key role in the team, principally delivering due diligence assessments, while also supporting project management and the development of client proposals.
Your key responsibilities will be
- Delivery of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Limited Environmental Compliance Assessments for a range of sites, including commercial, warehouse and less complex manufacturing facilities, in support of buy-side and sell-side due diligence.
This will include desk-based research (review of data rooms and publicly available information), site visits, participation in management calls, interpreting available information and preparing focussed client reports.
- Supportingthe delivery of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Limited Environmental Compliance Assessments of more complex sites (e. g. manufacturing facilities).
- Delivery of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) assessments of companies in support of buy-side and sell-side due diligence.
This will include desk-based research (review of data rooms and publicly available information), participation in management calls, interpreting available information and preparing client focussed reports.
- Supporting project management activities, including coordination of inputs, trackingdeliverablesand helping ensure deadlines are met.
- Supporting the development of client proposals, including scope definition, feeinputsand preparation of proposal content.
About you

What matters most to us
- 3 to 4years of practical work experience in other companies where youhavepersonallybeensupported and/or delivered Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and ideally also ESG assessments.
- Sound understanding of UK environmental regulations and a basic understanding of key environmental and sustainability regulations in Europe (e. g. CSRD, CBAM etc).
- A degree in geosciences, natural sciences, environmental sciences or engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- The ability to understand information quickly and work efficiently, proactivelyand autonomously.
- Strong communicationskills (both written and verbal).
- A collaborative approach and willingness to travel, typically within the UK and Ireland.
