Building Services Engineering at Ramboll UK focuses on designing and implementing innovative, sustainable, and efficient systems within buildings to enhance comfort, productivity, and energy performance. Ramboll's multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists strives to integrate advanced technologies and practices in areas such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), electrical systems, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection. By prioritising sustainability, Ramboll aims to reduce the environmental impact of buildings through optimised energy use, renewable energy solutions, and smart building technologies.

As a graduate engineer at Ramboll, you will be directly involved in some of the UK’s most innovative and complex projects. Each day as a graduate will provide you with new opportunities and challenges, making no two days feel the same. You will be involved in the design and delivery of buildings, including the component parts of the structure and associated infrastructure, monitoring implementation through the entire project lifecycle, from initial concepts to visits on site. You will become part of the Buildings Department, which houses Structures, Civil, Mechanical & Electrical, Facades, Acoustics and many more disciplines. Your role will allow you to collaborate with all disciplines, providing growth and knowledge to increase engineering competence.

Your skills and experience:

  • A BEng, MEng or MSc level degree in a relevant Mechanical engineering subject
  • Interest in the design of Building Services, especially mechanical systems
  • An active curiosity around building physics and sustainable design solutions
  • Demonstrable aptitude to learn computer programming languages and complex data manipulation and processing
  • Ability to summarise and present complex engineering concepts via different channels
  • An interest in Digital Automation and Optimisation
