This senior role shapes the sustainability agenda across Ramboll\’s transport client community and the wider business. A focal point for sustainability across the global transport and UK businesses, working alongside peers in the Buildings, Energy, Environment and Management consulting divisions as well as other specialisms and key accounts.
The role requires a proven track record as a sustainability lead, with an ability to communicate material of a specialist sustainability nature clearly and be able to influence senior stakeholders.

Your new role
As part of the Transport Leadership team, the Team Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing Ramboll\’s sustainability strategy across the transport market. This position supports engagement with clients and collaborators. You will be an experienced, inspiring and inclusive leader with a proven track record in guiding and developing teams as direct line reports but also virtually through the Sustainability Steering Group and across all transport teams. You will provide an outward perspective with a view to further shaping and broadening client accounts and relationships though bringing a new dimension to the team and enhancing the client dialogue at senior level in partnership with other senior Ramboll leaders and key account managers.
This role requires an understanding of the political landscape and how to shape the development of policy at a senior level with a view to Ramboll being seen as a strategic advisor in this field.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Develop strategy and ambitions for driving Ramboll\’s sustainability unifying themes into Transport UK
- Identify and develop innovative sustainable solutions for complex challenges
- Lead other members of the Ramboll UK and Group transport sustainability groups to deliver cross-team sustainability initiatives
- Undertake research into sustainability issues and provide guidance to the wider team
- Support the key account and client management programs by engaging with external parties to understand and shape their sustainability journey
- Develop value propositions on sustainability topics as strategic advisory services for clients
- Enhance and differentiate Ramboll bids by responding effectively to sustainability requirements
About you
- Honour’s or Master’s degree in a sustainability related subject
- Chartered engineer or environmentalist and member of a relevant professional institution
- Experience of identifying and tackling sustainability issues at a strategic level
- Good working knowledge of sustainability issues within the transport market
- Experience or knowledge of sustainable delivery processes and requirements common to large infrastructure clients
- A confident and professional manner, coupled with excellent communication skills, with clients and colleagues alike, to ensure clarity in all situations and to effectively influence
- Ability to work well under pressure and proven ability to deliver to deadlines
