About the Opportunity
Join our Ecosystems Solutions Service Line with a focus on nature conservation. Depending on the role, you would undertake ecological surveys and produce high‑quality reports, including habitat and species surveys, support biodiversity project work, and assist with corporate biodiversity strategy and alignment with legal and voluntary requirements. You would also support the delivery of projects with a broad environmental and sustainability remit grounded in biology and ecosystems knowledge.
To succeed, you should be willing to develop ecological or conservation skills to assist in more complex work and to contribute to our team delivering environmental net gain, biodiversity and natural capital, and nature-based solutions. Ideally, you will be a Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management or eligible for membership at the appropriate grade.
Your skills and experience
Starting point for this role includes:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Biology, Conservation Biology, Marine Biology, Aquatic Ecology, Ecosystem Services, Natural Capital or Ecological Economics
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management or eligible for membership
- Experience with IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Numerical competence
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent report writing skills
