At Raman Pharma, we’re looking for an experienced procurement professional who wants to be operationally involved while having the opportunity to lead and develop the function.

Reporting directly to the CEO and joining our Senior Leadership Team, you’ll take ownership of procurement across the business, leading sourcing, supplier relationships and stock availability whilst driving continuous improvement and deploying analytics-led decision making. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine strategic thinking with day-to-day operational involvement, working closely with colleagues across Sales, Operations, Finance, Commercial and Quality & Compliance. You will also have responsibility for managing and developing one direct report.

We’re looking for someone who is already operating at, or very close to, procurement management level. You may already be leading procurement in practice, making key supplier decisions and influencing commercial outcomes, but are ready for your first formal leadership role with greater autonomy and accountability.

You’ll be commercially minded, analytical and confident negotiating with suppliers, using data and market insight to make sound procurement decisions and support a growing business. Experience within an SME environment, where you’ve managed a broad range of procurement activities rather than a narrow specialist area, will be particularly valuable.

Ideally you should have experience within pharmaceuticals or another regulated industry and be fully GDP aware. With familiarity of ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365), you should be adept with stock optimisation or forecasting tools and have contract-management and commercial-terms negotiation experience. A CIPS qualification would also be an advantage.

If you’re looking for the opportunity to translate business goals into procurement actions, whilst shaping a procurement function, influencing business decisions and making a genuine impact in a growing company, we’d love to hear from you.
