The 166-bedroom Ramada Hotel and Suites by Wyndham Coventry is just off Exit 7 of the Coventry Ring Road, all bedrooms and suites have stunning views overlooking the historic City Centre and County of Warwickshire. It has a dedicated training and meetings floor and a dedicated executive lounge. Ramada Hotel and Suites by Wyndham Coventry is also home to the award-winning Queen’s Road Restaurant,
Reservations & Events Executive Purpose and Responsibilities.
This role will involve supporting Reservations & Sales Team by being the first point of contact for all booking enquires- reservations, groups, meetings and events. The role involves client and guest relationship building, in-depth knowledge of the hotel and the product and liaising with other departments within the Hotel for an exceptional service delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure all RFP’s and leads for all conference and events are submitted in timely manner.
- Ensuring all reservations and group enquiries are responded and followed up in a timely manner.
- Converting tentative reservations into confirmed bookings.
- Drive hotel revenues through strategic decision making and upselling.
- Build rapport with our key clients in order to ascertain their requirements and identify further opportunities for future business.
- Provide detailed function plans to hotel operations teams to ensure the clients requirements are always supported and catered for.
- Adhere to and promote our company values and wider brand standards.
What should you bring?
Good general level of education (GCSE Grade 3 and above) English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Previous experience of working in hotel environment either in a reservation’s role or events department.
- Experience of providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to meet target and deadlines.
- Good computer skills and excellent telephone manner and ability to provide seamless delivery of service.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to details and ability to multi-task.
If you can demonstrate the following skills, that would be an advantage:
- Knowledge and experience of Opera Cloud system.
- Good analytical skills to understand key business indicator and competitor trends.

Salary Range: £25,000 – 25,750 per annum (full-time).
Your hours of work: This is mostly weekday office hours; however, some flexibility is required to work occasional evenings and weekends. Flexible working arrangements such as compressed hours or flexible start/finish times will be considered for this role.
