As part of Ralph Lauren’s Next Generation Transformation (NGT), the core operating systems of the company (SAP, Island Pacific and Microsoft D365) will be replaced with a common Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, enabling the team to continue delivering competitive advantages in our next great chapter and beyond. The ERP+ program has been initiated and is starting to create the transformation plan, defining how the company will operate going forward and how the implementation of the new systems will lead to a common way of working globally across the company. This new way of working impacts almost all of the business including Planning, Sourcing and Buying, Retail and Wholesale, Logistics and Distribution, and Finance across all regions.
The Global Retail DTC Process Senior Manager will join the project team to act as the functional product owner for the SAP Retail DTC space, representing Retail Stores. They will work across other functional areas including Finance, Logistics, Wholesale, as well as IT and other partners.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business partners and define requirements / make design decisions for necessary SAP functionality, seeking to use out of the box functionality aligning on a common global design for Retail DTC Stores processes and functionality.
- Through the design process, represent and coordinate with your region to close out gaps and identify process opportunities to create a common way of working globally. Whilst areas such as legal, regulatory, tax, language and currency will deviate from the global template, all other functionalities will be common to the global template.
- Ensure understanding of the agreed functionality, coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in collaboration with change management leads and testing leads, planning deployment, and managing any necessary communications or training.
- Collaborate as required between North America, EMEA and APAC partners ensuring that common processes and ways of working are developed. Support Global Retail DTC SME to ensure as high a globally aligned process as possible. For the region, support the development and coordination of all testing within the region across SAP and Edge systems to always mitigate risks of deployments and drive alignment of processes.
- Key contact for SAP functionality support across the region assisting Retail DTC, Wholesale OTC, Finance & other systems/partners with SAP-integrated or cross‑functional processes.
- Work closely with IT and other partners to define requirements across Edge systems such as Salesforce, in‑store POS, concession and Marketplace integrations, Impact Analytics / JDA Enterprise planning for Allocations and other partner systems that may tightly integrate with SAP.
- Understand the impact of platform‑to‑platform integrations with Edge systems to assist with the migration across Retail DTC as it relates to inbound order flows, pricing including to concessions, and promotions and markdowns, store audits, in‑store ticketing, Omni‑order functionality, store to store transfers, returns (customer and distribution centre), inventory management, back office functions etc.
- Identify reports and operational reporting that may be required to support the business on an ongoing basis.
- Collaborate with the change management function leads, assisting with the development of training materials that may be required to roll out the platform and ensure adequate onboarding of the new processes and systems.
- Identify the impact to Ralph Lauren Stores, Polo Retail Outlets and Ralph Lauren Concession customers and provide input into the deployment plan on the activities required to successfully launch the systems within all third parties in the RL DTC area.
- Work closely with the retail and logistics teams to define any order management / process flows that are required across B2B – third parties, retail, Ecommerce and inter‑country/region where necessary.
Qualifications
- Strong proven track record in a related role – experience of more than 7 full strategic performance cycles.
- Strong understanding of the DTC Retail business operational processes across channels, within an international fashion apparel business.
- Understanding of the dependencies within an omnichannel environment of common inventories and the need to work closely with other partners to achieve common results in a strong team‑based environment.
- Experience within a vertically integrated retail environment; fashion apparel experience is highly desirable.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Must be adept at translating complex concepts into actionable plans.
- Ability to confidently engage with and influence senior executives.
- Strong analytical skills: Leverages data to make strategic decisions.
- Pragmatic, problem‑solver, thrives under pressure, excels at multitasking, makes decisive and timely decisions with authority.
