The ERP+ program will define the future operating model and facilitate a common way of working globally, impacting almost all business functions including Planning, Sourcing, Retail, Logistics, and Finance across all regions.
The EDI Business Architect will lead the transition of EDI from ECC to S/4 across North America, EMEA, and APAC, working closely with business, consulting, and technology partners. This role will design, test, train, and implement phases to ensure a smooth transition.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business partners to deliver EDI functional requirements, emphasizing alignment to a global design while minimizing customizations.
- Collaborate with technical partners to position the EDI technical architecture to support large transaction volumes meeting or exceeding RL SLA requirements.
- Rationalize and harmonize EDI mapping processes across Customer, Vendor and Logistics functional areas, managing trading partner variances with a clean core, standard approach.
- Define, design and implement best practices for EDI and Edge platform transaction monitoring and correction procedures.
- Lead retirement of legacy platforms and services to achieve successful transitions for each regional rollout.
- Partner with Test Management teams and customers to define and execute EDI SIT/UAT requirements ensuring accuracy.
- Partner with Change Management teams to plan, communicate and execute onboarding with external trading partners.
- Develop and execute training initiatives to transition from project to post‑go‑live support for each regional rollout.
- Define trading partner onboarding processes to reduce time and effort for future onboarding.
- May involve additional functional responsibilities within the Omnichannel Sales tower depending on capacity and project needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP ECC and S/4, deep knowledge of SAP technical architecture and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience leading an EDI transition to SAP S/4 within the Consumer Goods industry; fashion apparel experience highly desired.
- Deep working knowledge of SAP BTP IS Cloud Integration and Application Integration Framework (AIF) platforms.
- Experience with ANSI X.12 and EDIFACT standards (required).
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of Product Management, Sales Orders, Shipments, Billing, Sourcing and Payments.
- Strategic vision with a hands‑on approach to achieving results.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, translating technical concepts into business‑friendly language.
- Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with business, IT, and external consulting partners.
- Strong analytical skills, leveraging data for strategic decisions.
- Pragmatic, problem‑solving, thrives under pressure, and excels at multitasking with decisive, timely decision‑making.
Travel up to 30% globally is required; collaboration in the Ralph Lauren Way is essential.
