We are seeking a passionate, creative, and highly motivated individual to join the Retail Marketing team for Europe, overseeing the Ralph Lauren retail marketing strategy across all EU Retail doors and the overarching marketing strategy for France and Benelux Regions. The successful candidate will contribute to the team in leading global brand campaigns at a local level through the organisation and execution of marketing and events; introducing innovative concepts to drive brand engagement, acquisition, footfall, sales, and client development; and playing a significant role in accelerating brand awareness in France and Benelux Regions.
We seek an individual with a genuine passion and “feel” for the brand, strong interest in fashion and commercial brick-and-mortar retail, with strong project management skills, a business mindset, and the ability to ideate, organise, and deliver strategies, activations, and events on a large scale.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReporting into the Retail Marketing Manager, you will:
- Partner with the Marketing Manager to develop and deliver on Retail marketing strategy across France & Benelux Regions.
- Engage cross-functionally and create relationships with all key stakeholders (Sales, Buying, Planning, CRM, Customer Insights, PR, Media, Brand Presentation, Clientelling, Regional Store teams, etc.) to implement the team’s strategy on a European or local level.
- Drive the amplification of global brand campaigns across EU through direct marketing, in-store activations and events, and innovative experiences.
- Successfully develop and implement the opening strategy for new store openings within the region including researching market and consumer insights, competitor insights, and key opportunities for ‘buzz generating’ activations.
- Explore and manage multiple external partnerships, driving client acquisition and cross-market opportunities.
- Manage project costs and budget, demonstrating the ability to anticipate and report on spend per project. Raise POs and manage vendor relations.
This role requires someone with strong communication and project management skills, a business mindset, and a creative and entrepreneurial spirit to be able to drive and execute ambitious projects involving several internal & external stakeholders.
- +4 years of marketing, communications and events experience gained in international consumer goods organisations, preferably with some exposure to Premium brands or Fashion/Luxury Retail.
- Strong marketing credentials including strategic analysis, project management, and communications, with experience in brand amplification.
- +2 years experience in large-scale event management (including retail activations) and marketing campaign strategy from initial concept and strategic planning to day-to-day execution and post-campaign reporting.
- Comfortable liaising with third parties to get projects across the line.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, take initiative and deliver quick results.
- Strong business and commercial mindset, knowledge of marketing KPI analytics and experience managing a project budget and expense tracking.
- Ability to contribute creative, innovative ideas and solutions with a structured approach and an exemplary eye for detail.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, fast-paced environments and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Comfortable and confident in the briefing and feedback process of creative counterparts and vendors.
- Strong team player, collaborative, positive, proactive and enthusiastic with a problem-solving attitude.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills with experience producing content for presentations, mastery of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel).
- Fluent in English, additional languages a bonus, particularly French.
