The Localization Associate is a key part of the Localization team, reporting to the Localization Manager and sitting more broadly within the Digital Commerce team at RL EMEA & LATAM.
This role supports on daily and regular translation projects for product descriptions, content campaigns, and adhoc marketing requests.
Using their understanding of the translation and localization best practices they will ensure external language providers have all the information required to deliver high quality copy within the agreed timelines for the business.
- - Manage end-to-end translation and localization projects with the assistance of Vendor PMs and language teams.
- - Ensuring deadlines and quality standards are adhered to and provide pre and post-translation support upon request.
- - Own and maintain the process of linguistic UAT on content pages and UI enhancements, to ensure optimum customer experience.
- - Support language teams in meeting deliverables by answering queries, setting deadlines and creating/maintaining supporting documents.
- - Work with external linguists and vendors to develop and maintain established translation tools, workflow, style guides and glossaries for a clear and consistent approach.
- - Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- - Experience in the localization industry, whether vendor or client side.
- - Familiarity with translation technologies.
- - Ability to prioritise tasks and keep multiple simultaneous projects on track at once.
- - Awareness of cultural differences across different markets and how this can affect consumer needs and behaviours.
- - Highly solution-oriented and excellent problem-solving skills.
- - Detail oriented and able to take initiative to follow up on issues and provide ideas for resolutions.
