Position Overview
The Global Insights Director based in London will oversee research and insights for Womenswear & Handbags, supporting the global brand, marketing, merchandising, and sales teams.
- Manage the delivery of all research related to Womenswear and Handbags, collaborating closely with global and regional brand and marketing teams to understand their needs and gaps, ensuring research addresses key business questions.
- Build strong relationships with agencies and manage their work effectively to produce results that combine data with style and creativity.
- Discuss key learnings and implications with relevant teams, supporting regional teams in understanding and sharing insights across markets.
- Provide strategic business support to the global Womenswear & Handbags brand and marketing teams, as well as regional teams.
- Conduct annual 360 analyses, integrating insights from U&As, brand health metrics, social listening, and identifying new opportunities to inform strategies.
- Support global board meetings and long-range planning with insights and analysis.
- Keep the business updated on macro consumer shifts, fashion trends, and competitor developments impacting Womenswear & Handbags.
- Assist the marketing team in ensuring insights influence advertising concepts and post-campaign evaluations.
- Drive consumer insights adoption within brands, regions, and markets to promote a consumer-centric approach.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Proven experience in an insight function, preferably within retail or luxury sectors, including client-side roles.
Strong skills in ad hoc research (quantitative and qualitative), consumer and shopper methodologies, with the ability to manage briefs, agencies, and analyze data effectively to tell impactful stories.
Luxury or fashion sensibility and a passion for understanding consumers, including regional nuances.
Exceptional analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
Leadership experience demonstrating the ability to drive business growth and change, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Ability to influence senior management and collaborate across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Curious, proactive, innovative, and forward-thinking in approach.
