Overview
An exciting new position (12 month FTC) within the direct-to-consumer business planning team for EMEA. This hybrid role requires spending at least 2 days a week in the Watford office.
As our business undergoes a global ERP & planning system transformation, we are looking for a data-driven, technical expert to be our team\\\’s key link and support to these initiatives, while also supporting our channel planning with ad-hoc reporting queries, projects and roll-ups across DTC business channels. The role involves becoming the go-to expert for systems transition, new processes, BI queries and data integrity within the team. It also includes partnering across the business planning team and cross-functionally to build relationships, align on requirements, highlight opportunities & challenges with systems transitions, and feedback requirements and findings to ensure a seamless transition. The role may involve deputizing for the lead in meetings and robust testing of new systems, metrics and processes to ensure usability and accuracy for planning digital and physical business channels. You will continuously update the business planning team during migration to new systems, creating SOPs and running training sessions. You will support channel leads & planning managers with ad-hoc analysis, monthly forecast & annual budget processes and provide additional coverage on regular daily & weekly performance reporting where required. You will identify and feedback process opportunities for greater synergy & integration across business planning channels.
Responsibilities
- Act as the go-to expert for systems transition, new processes, BI queries & data integrity within the team.
- Partner across the business planning team and cross-functionally to build relationships, align on requirements, and highlight opportunities and challenges with system transitions.
- Provide feedback on requirements and findings to ensure a seamless transition for EMEA.
- Represent the department in meetings (deputizing for the lead where required).
- Conduct robust testing of new systems, metrics, and processes to ensure usability and accuracy for planning across digital and physical channels.
- Continuously update the team during migration, create SOPs, and run training sessions.
- Support channel leads & planning managers with ad-hoc analysis, monthly forecasts, and annual budget processes; provide coverage on regular daily & weekly performance reporting as needed.
- Identify and feedback opportunities for greater synergy and integration across business planning channels.
Qualifications
- 3-5 full strategic cycles in retail merchandising, data or financial roles (role equivalent to junior manager level with no direct reports).
- Passionate about systems, technical processes & data integrity.
- Strong attention to detail, quality and accuracy imperative.
- Keenness to learn, problem solve and adapt to new tools & models.
- Ability to work under pressure and to respect deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills to process & interpret data.
- Thorough understanding & application of retail maths & KPIs.
- Team player.
