You are an adaptable, social-first videographer who’s just as at home brainstorming ideas as you are behind the camera on a shoot. At Ralph, we work across different sectors, formats and platforms, but one thing is always the same; we put creative first, and it’s at the heart of everything we do. You’re a videographer at your core, but you’re keen to be involved across the whole lifespan of an idea - from the first concept to the final export. You have a keen eye for what makes a shot stand out, and you’re always looking for ways to work smarter or take a shoot to the next level. Working alongside a small team of editors, social creatives and producers, you’ll report to the Head of Studio and work across a variety of clients across the lifestyle, tech and entertainment sectors. Some days you’ll be filming a casual TikTok trend on the street outside the office, and others you’ll be at a movie premiere capturing red carpet interviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Brainstorming & creative ideation of social shoot concepts
- Planning shoots and visiting location recces
- Leading filming on shoots, alongside a director and a producer
- Looking after shoot gear e.g. cameras, rigs, tripods and mics
- Managing footage offloading and backup
- Editing footage into organic, engaging social-first edits
Tools of the Trade
- Highly experienced filming on iPhone, including gimbal work
- Experience with filming on pro cameras such as Sony FX3, Blackmagic etc.
- Some experience with sound recording e.g. lavalier or handheld microphones
- Understanding of lighting fundamentals on small-medium shoots
- Comfortable with social edits in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Some image retouching in Adobe Photoshop is a nice-to-have
