We are currently recruiting for the above role to work within our Operations Team. The Production Operative role will help deliver on the growth focused strategy for the Qualitrol organization.

Role Description:

  • A Production Operator will work within any area of Operations, supporting the project and flow sides of the business as required in line with business requirements.

Essential Duties (not exhaustive):

  • Ensure their own and the safety of their fellow team members is a priority;
  • Work to any defined health and safety requirements within the area and support any safety-led initiatives;
  • Assembly of mechanical metalwork;
  • Assembly of product components;
  • Preparation and termination of wiring;
  • Able to read from and work from electrical schematic drawing;
  • Work to defined standard work requirements;
  • Pack equipment as instructed using the best methods available;
  • Adhere to all quality standards defined and required;
  • Proactively support Continuous Improvement initiatives;
  • Any other reasonable duty as required and in line with business needs;
  • Assemble various sub-assemblies for production;
  • Inspection of parts for use on production;
  • Flexible approach to tasks given in a busy working environment;
  • Work to set timescales and achieve deadlines;
  • Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team;
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area;
  • Adhere to all PPE / work wear requirements.

Essential Criteria, applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in Electrical and mechanical assembly working within a manufacturing / production environment;
  • Proficient in MS Office and have experience of using different computer software systems;
  • Experience of working from electrical schematic drawing;
  • Concentration and focus, continued attention to detail over long periods;
  • Have high levels of attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines;
  • Relevant experience of using a variety of hand, power and air tools;
  • Experience of working in a team with ability to use own initiative and work independently.

This role requires working on foot for extended periods of time.
