The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, site acceptance tests and repair of a variety of PowerStation, Transmission, Substation & Transformer monitoring equipment. The ideal candidate would speak English and any other European language would be advantageous. Frequent travel within UK & EU without Visa requirements is expected.

Key responsibilities:

  • Planning and Scheduling FS Engineering visits for installation, commissioning, site acceptance tests repair, training and support directly with OEM and Utility customers
  • Liaise with customers to increase FS sales
  • Identification and development of commercial opportunities
  • Provide V.O.C. feedback, to Management, Sales associates, Factory Quality and commercial associates
  • Provide support to all reports on training in FBS tools and techniques
  • Local stock control
  • Develop own capabilities and talent to ensure that development potential is realised
  • Travel required – up to 75%

KPI’s:

  • Billable hours: Ensure 72% billable hours and measured by monthly reports
  • Sales: increase in FS sales in Region and measured by FS sales
  • Improved knowledge across the Qualitrol Product Range
  • Customer satisfaction surveys: increased customer satisfaction and measured by feedback.

Education and Experience:

  • Technical undergraduate degree, HND/HNC or equivalent experience
  • Electromechanical aptitude
  • BESC EUSR Person/Competent Person certified
  • GWO offshore certification – advantageous
  • Experience within the Utilities & Electrical Engineering industry.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Drivers Licence
  • No criminal record | Police / UK Gov Security Clearance
