As a key contributor to achieving our Expedition Venturer targets and revenue goals, you will be the first point of contact for potential candidates, representing Raleigh International’s culture and values. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, engage, and convert candidates aged 17-24 into committed Venturers for our 5, 7, or 10-week programmes in various Expedition countries. This will involve converting inbound online leads and travelling to schools and universities, primarily in the Southeast, to deliver talks and engage with potential Venturers. You will also be responsible for following up with leads to ensure a seamless experience and successful conversions.
The role requires active outreach, relationship building, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the application process. You will effectively communicate the benefits of our Expeditions through phone consultations, online and in-person events, email, and WhatsApp. Being comfortable and confident in speaking with both 17-24-year-olds, their parents/guardians as well as educational professionals is essential. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other departments to support Raleigh’s mission and contribute to the Recruitment Team’s overall sales targets.

Key accountabilities
Sales
- You will be responsible for executing sales-related activities in pursuit of your individual recruitment and conversion targets.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of future bookings and speculative prospects.
- Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from potential participants via email, phone, and our website, including managing online chat platforms such as WhatsApp.
- As part of meeting your sales target, you will deliver online and in-person Expedition sessions for prospective Venturers and their next of kin. This includes making improvements to presentations, encouraging sign-ups and following up.
- You will develop strong ties with the schools and universities you visit.
- Promptly and efficiently follow up with, and subsequently convert leads acquired by the Marketing team.
- You will build relationships with potential candidates, in support of their future booking.
- Create value-add pitches based on customer preferences.
- Become an expert in the Raleigh Expedition programme and understand the projects for each cycle.
Reporting and admin
- Utilise our CRM tool to efficiently manage inquiries and customer records.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and applications statuses via the CRM system.
- Maintain availability on our collaboration platform (Slack) to support team members and address inquiries.
Collaboration
- Work with Expedition Experience and Operations to ensure you are up to date with product knowledge.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to ensure all presentations are on brand and the correct messaging.
- Work with CRM lead to ensure we are effectively reporting.
