This hiring opportunity is for a 6‑month fixed‑term contract in the Global Talent Management & Inclusion Team (GTMI), based in Brighton and working in a hybrid model.
The L&D Operations role entails strategic development and delivery of Rakuten’s learning and development programs. The incumbent will be proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of building positive relationships with partners across all geographical regions.
Responsibilities- Serve as the regional point person for the use of the Learning Management System (LMS), Absorb.
- Provide Tier2 global support for LMS and training enquiries and act as the point of contact for Tier1 Zendesk Support.
- Assist in creating reports that outline learning trends and year‑to‑date metrics.
- Support the administration of external learning platforms such as Udemy.
- Assist with business‑unit specific LMS requests.
- Provide assistance to the wider Operations team with ad‑hoc requests and projects.
- Ensure global SOPs and FAQs are kept up to date.
- Coordinate and administer global programmes with Programme Managers.
- Create, edit, and maintain global courses on LMS and Absorb.
- Administer pre‑work and post‑work activities when necessary.
- Manage the DiSC and EPIC platforms for global assessment administration.
- Collaborate with Programme Managers to create training material using platforms such as Powtoon and Articulate.
- Work with corporate communications to send out Spotlight Courses, Quarterly Newsletters, and other marketing requirements.
- Effectively market programmes with the internal team.
- Strong MS Office knowledge, ideally with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience managing and executing learning and development programmes.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects with minimal guidance.
- Strong partnership‑building ability with key stakeholders.
- Comfort working across global time zones.

- Experience as an administrator with an LMS (preferably Workday Learning).
