Rakem Group is seeking a passionate and proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to champion our commitment to excellence across health, safety, and environmental standards. This is more than a compliance role; it's a strategic position that drives our HSE and ESG Framework forward, shaping the future of our operations and culture.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead HSE compliance across all sites, aligning with ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 standards.
- Develop and maintain risk assessments, COSHH documentation, and safe systems of work.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver engaging toolbox talks, inductions, and targeted training to build a proactive safety culture.
- Chair the Health & Safety Committee and mentor safety representatives.
- Collaborate with the Sustainability Lead to track and improve environmental performance.
- Manage contractor safety, PPE/RPE programs, and emergency preparedness systems.
- Report monthly HSE performance metrics and contribute to strategic decision-making.
What We’re Looking For:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma or Environmental Diploma desirable).
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and ISO management systems.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
- A strategic thinker with emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset.
- Highly organised, analytical, and confident in managing multiple priorities.
