We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our team in an exciting and varied role working across several practices within the Primary Care Network (PCN), alongside sessions at a related practice in Scunthorpe. This is a dynamic opportunity for a GP who enjoys collaborative working, portfolio variety, and delivering high-quality patient care across multiple settings. The role will also include participation in Extended Access GP cover and provision of PCN GP cover during training afternoons, supporting service resilience and continuity across the network. This post offers the opportunity to work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team while contributing to innovative, patient-centred primary care delivery.
Main duties of the job
- The Salaried GP will provide high-quality, patient-centred primary care across several practices within the PCN and a related practice in Scunthorpe.
- Duties include undertaking routine and urgent consultations, managing acute and chronic conditions, prescribing, and maintaining accurate clinical records.
- The role will contribute to Extended Access services, provide GP cover during PCN training afternoons, support multidisciplinary team working, participate in clinical meetings and quality improvement activity, and work collaboratively to deliver safe, effective, and responsive care to the practice populations.

Job responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred general medical services to patients across multiple practices within Apollo PCN and a related practice in Scunthorpe.
- Undertake routine and urgent GP consultations, including face-to-face, telephone, and remote appointments as appropriate.
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe safely and effectively in line with national and local guidelines.
- Provide Extended Access GP cover as required.
- Deliver GP cover for PCN training afternoons to support service continuity across practices.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including ARRS roles, practice teams, and wider health and care partners.
- Contribute to the delivery of PCN priorities, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in clinical meetings, significant event reviews, and governance activities.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records.
- Support safe, effective, and responsive care delivery in line with practice, PCN, and NHS standards.
- Contribute to the education, training, and support of colleagues where appropriate.

Qualifications
- Qualified Medical Practitioner holding MBBS, MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practise.
- Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List (or eligible to be included prior to appointment).
- MRCGP qualification (or equivalent experience acceptable for the role).
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Valid medical indemnity cover in line with role requirements.
Experience
- Experience of working in UK General Practice or similar primary care setting.
- Experience in managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
- Understanding of Primary Care Networks and multidisciplinary team working.
- Knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety principles.
- Understanding of current NHS priorities, policies, and standards relevant to General Practice.
Skills & Abilities
