Job Description: The Finance Director supports Raising Cane's entry into the United Kingdom by overseeing core accounting activities and providing financial planning and analysis for Restaurant openings and ongoing operations. Based in the UK, this role ensures financial accuracy, compliance, and operational readiness as Restaurants open across the market. This position works closely with UK and US teams to set up reliable financial practices and day-to-day support for a growing Restaurant presence.

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee UK accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support financial control activities and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, statutory reporting, and tax requirements.
  • Manage financial requirements related to leases, landlords, and regulatory obligations.
  • Lead forecasting and financial analysis to support evaluation of Restaurant openings and ongoing market performance.
  • Analyze Restaurant-level financial and non-financial performance to provide Operations leaders with timely, clear, and actionable financial insights.
  • Prepare financial reporting and insights for UK and US leadership, highlighting trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide financial support for New Restaurant Opening activities through coordination, cost tracking, and cross-functional partnership.
  • Build and improve financial processes and workflows that support UK operations and future Restaurant growth.
  • Support the UK-based operations and functional teams by solving operational and financial challenges with a strategic yet practical and detail-oriented approach.
  • Oversee financial relationships with external partners and vendors while collaborating closely with internal UK teams to support operational needs.
  • Interact with and support US-based Finance and Accounting teams to ensure proper consolidated financial reporting and to troubleshoot and improve financial processes.
  • Other ad-hoc projects and analyses as the business dictates.

Travel Requirements: Up to 10% with some international travel as required.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience with Finance and/or Accounting teams with 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles, statutory requirements, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to perform detailed accounting work while applying higher-level financial concepts and analytical tools.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and operational financial support.
  • Ability to build, document, and improve financial processes in a growing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across UK and US partners.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting retail, restaurant, hospitality, or other multi-unit operations.
  • Experience supporting market entry, expansion, or early-stage operational growth.
  • Chartered Accountant (ACA) or Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) designation.
