TeacherActive is proud to be working with a small independent nursery/preschool based in York, who are looking to appoint a Nursery Assistant. This welcoming setting offers a close-knit environment where children are encouraged to learn, play and develop their confidence through engaging activities and positive interactions.
The nursery is looking to take on a dedicated Nursery Assistant on a full time, permanent basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Nursery Assistant will support children throughout their early years development, assisting with daily activities, encouraging learning through play and helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
The successful Nursery Assistant will have:
- previous experience working with children in a nursery, preschool or similar setting
- an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is desirable
- a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- a caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
- adaptability and a positive 'can-do' attitude
