Are you a creative and reflective leader? York Campus Nursery is looking for experienced Room Leaders to manage the day-to-day running of our nursery rooms. We have two part-time positions available, including a maternity cover role. You will supervise staff, maintain a high-quality learning environment, and use your skills to continually improve practice. We value our employees and encourage individuals to develop with us. About the Role:
- Position: Early Years Room Leader
Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day running of a room within the nursery.
- Caring for children and maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment.
- Supervising staff and sharing your knowledge and skills to support others.
- Implementing new ideas and using a range of strategies to continually improve practice.
- Supporting the nursery management team.
Requirements:
- A publicly recognised Level 3 qualification in childcare.
- Experience of supervising and motivating a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- A creative and reflective approach to leadership.

Role Two: 19.5 hours per week (Wednesday 1.00pm to 5.30pm, Thursday and Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm) - maternity cover until October 2026
Rate of pay: £15.46 per hour
