York Explorers - York Childcare is looking for an Early Years Lead to support the day-to-day running of its breakfast, out of school and holiday clubs.
You will take a leading role in developing high-quality play and learning opportunities for children aged 4 to 11 years, while maintaining a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

Position: Early Years Lead
Responsibilities:
- Providing professional leadership, management and motivation.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of breakfast, out of school and holiday clubs.
- Maintaining organised records and administrative systems.
- Leading the development of high-quality play and learning opportunities for children aged 4 to 11 years.
- Planning and facilitating an outstanding play environment based on Playwork Principles.
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for all children.
- Supporting children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare, education or early years learning.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- An understanding of Playwork Principles and how to apply them to activities for children aged 4 to 11 years.
- The ability to provide professional leadership, management and motivation.
Hours: 25 hours per week
Rate of pay: £15.80 per hour
