Early Years Room Leader - York Campus Nursery
York Campus Nursery is looking for an Early Years Room Leader to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of its baby room.
As a qualified childcare professional and a creative, reflective leader, you will help maintain a high-quality, stimulating learning environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
About the Role:
Position: Early Years Room Leader
The role involves supporting children's social, emotional, physical and intellectual development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the nursery's core principles of quality and consistency, secure foundations, partnership working, equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Caring for children and maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment that offers a wide range of activities in line with EYFS.
- Supervising and mentoring staff, sharing knowledge and skills to support their professional development.
- Implementing new ideas and using a range of strategies to continually improve practice.
- Supporting the nursery management team.
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the baby room.
- Experience of supervising and motivating a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
- A publicly recognised Level 3 qualification in childcare.
Available Roles:
Role One - Permanent
- 18 hours per week.
- Monday and Tuesday, 9.00am to 5.30pm.
- Wednesday, 9.00am to 12.00pm.
Role Two - Maternity Cover until December 2026
- 19.5 hours per week.
- Wednesday, 1.00pm to 5.30pm.
- Thursday and Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm.
Hours: 18 or 19.5 hours per week
Rate of pay: £15.69 per hour
