Rainsford Contracts is a London-based construction contractor delivering fit-out, refurbishment, joinery and M&E works across high-quality commercial and residential projects. We’re growing our site team and looking for an experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor to join us on a permanent basis. The project you will be starting on is a super prime residential development based in Mayfair, London on the late shift. The package covers the back of house areas across a substantial building: five basement levels, ground and seven levels above.

You will lead the on-site delivery of the package during the late shift, keeping safety, progress and quality aspects on track, and acting as the PM’s eyes and ears outside normal day hours. The role starts on the late shift, 2PM-10PM Monday-Friday (some weekends by agreement). Potential to develop into wider site management responsibility as the project progresses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce site rules, RAMS and permits, and lead on out-of-hours safety, fire and emergency arrangements.
  • Manage labour and subcontractors on shift, briefing teams and coordinating work to the programme and short-term lookaheads that you will prepare.
  • Control access, deliveries and logistics across a multi-level building.
  • Inspect work to a super prime standard, complete the QA records and close out defects.
  • Report daily to the PM on progress, labour, issues and risks, and keep diaries, photos and handover records.
  • Support the PM and QS with progress measurement, dayworks and variation records.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven Site Manager or Senior Supervisor on high-end residential, fit-out or refurb projects.
  • Experience managing sub-contractors across various trades (carpenters, painters/decorators etc).
  • Experience of large, complex multi-level buildings, ideally with basement and plant areas.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP coordination, builders’ work and finishing trades.
  • SMSTS, valid CSCS Manager card and First Aid at Work.
  • Experience using Site Management/Snagging software.
  • Comfortable with evening and weekend working, and able to run the shift independently.
