The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
The Visual Merchandiser has primary responsibility for merchandising retail products offered in four retail stores within Mount Rainier National Park. They are expected to work in each store, setting up displays, keeping them fully stocked, clean and organized. They are to assist with keeping shelves stocked and working with the Retail Operations Manager and store managers to make sure product is displayed properly and making sure inventory stock levels are correct. This position reports to the Retail Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Promotes the spirit and intent of Guest Services Hospitality Standards
- Set displays and making sure to incorporate height and keep the stores stocked and organized.
- Drive traffic through creative displays
- Key traffic areas highlight programs
- Make sure appropriate signage is displayed in all stores with retail operations managers direction (local, USA made, handmade, native American)
- Help stores to pull programs together
- Change display tables to keep them fresh with new programs
- Assist Retail Operations Manager in making sure product is being sent to each store.
- Help in warehouse, processing orders, checking in freight
- Assist with making sure min/max are set appropriately for each store
- Assists with training on Counterpoint and other systems, as required.
- Assist with store set up, tear down and inventories
- Performs any other duties as may be required or assigned.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
- High school education with some college education preferred.
- Two years direct experience in a similar capacity and position accountabilities.
- Retail Point-of-Sale and database experience and working knowledge with a preference to or with CounterPoint.
- Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people; ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to learn and develop new skills; ability to problem solve.
- Ability to work independently. Must be extremely organized, accurate, and detail-oriented.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
- Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
- Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 20 lbs. occasionally and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects.
