As a result of ongoing growth and expansion, Rainham Steel, a leading UK steel stockholder, requires a Machine Operator. The role is based at their Head office in Rainham, Essex.
Job Purpose:
To assist with the smooth operation of our cut and bent facility, ensuring functionality, quality, and productivity at all times.
The Job Role:
- • This position is manual and involves lifting and handling steel reinforcing rods.
- • Reporting to the operations manager.
- • Fully trained in all aspects of cutting and bending reinforcing rods.
- • Using Re-Bar bending machines, such as automatic link benders and shearlines.
- • Ensuring jobs meet the required deadlines.
- • Learning machine maintenance.
- • Following Health and Safety procedures at all times.
The Candidate:
- • Reliable, enthusiastic, hardworking, driven, and self-motivated with a desire to learn.
- • Flexible to do paid overtime when necessary.
- • Able to work under pressure.
