Catering Manager
We are seeking to appoint a full‑time (37 hours per week) position for 40 weeks per year (term time plus 10 days).
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the school catering service, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, nutritious meals for students and staff.
- Oversee menu planning and manage food provision in line with school nutrition standards.
- Maintain stock levels, budgets, and ensure all dietary and allergy requirements are safely and effectively catered for.
- Lead and support the catering team, managing staff rotas, performance, training and wellbeing.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and health and safety across kitchen and dining facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and school policies.
- Support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in promoting and maintaining high standards of student behaviour and conduct within the dining areas.
- Manage catering budgets, purchasing and stock control to ensure cost‑effective service delivery.
- Supervise catering operations and maintain quality standards.
- Support recruitment, induction and training of catering staff.
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities and school policies are upheld.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the catering service.
