By combining world-leading science, forestry, and tech, we are able to deliver high-quality forest restoration at unprecedented scales. Our projects work to remove hundreds of millions of tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere, reverse declining biodiversity trends, and deliver equitable economic growth to rural communities. We currently operate four projects across three countries in West Africa, and are continuing to expand to new areas within the region.
To unlock restoration at scale, we are working to build best-in-class software that enables highly-distributed operations, manages data flows through the business, and ultimately delivers high-integrity data into the hands of stakeholders and other third parties.
As a Senior Product Engineer at Rainforest Builder, you will take full responsibility for an operational domain within our organisation. We want to strip back the process that slows down dev teams, and give great people an objective and let them execute. This means we need people who are excited at the prospect of owning both product and technical implementation, and working with high agency to deliver.
The ideal candidate will have both a strong technical foundation and a product mindset, and the ability to solve an issue across the full technical stack. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and looking for real-world impact: building software to enable projects that restore biodiversity, deliver equitable economic growth to rural communities, and remove greenhouse gas at scale.
Collaborate closely with business owners, employees, and staff in the field to establish solutions to problems within your domain area. Manage end-to-end delivery of software, simplifying complex problems and creating elegant solutions.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building and scaling full-stack applications, ideally within startups
- Strong command of AI tools, AI-assisted coding
Be part of a mission-driven startup tackling one of the planet’s most urgent challenges. Build software with tangible, real-world environmental and social impact.
