The Senior Delivery Manager fully owns complex technology projects from planning to handover. They apply extensive knowledge in SaaS and Agile delivery to achieve efficient and high-quality results. This role ensures accountability during the entire project, actively managing scope, resources, risks, and dependencies. The Senior Delivery Manager promotes a strong delivery culture by working closely with collaborators, cross-functional teams, and external partners to deliver smooth, dependable outcomes and ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and handle end-to-end delivery of technology projects.
- Ensure project achievements are met with flawless precision.
- Champion Agile methodologies and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain delivery plans with timelines, achievements, and dependencies.
- Align quarterly and annual roadmaps to organizational objectives.
- Identify and lead inter-team and vendor dependencies and delivery risks.
- Maintain dashboards tracking progress, velocity, risks, and achievements.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and industry benchmarks.
- Use Jira and Confluence to handle backlogs and reporting.
- Report on delivery health and risks at committee meetings.
- Map and engage collaborators, securing representation for decision-making.
- Mediate team or collaborator conflicts.
- Communicate clear, focused updates to senior leaders.
- Foster a culture of end-to-end ownership, accountability, and high performance across delivery teams.
- Lead the delivery of SaaS platforms and enterprise solutions using fit-for-purpose methodologies, prioritizing Agile approaches for adaptability and speed.
- Document processes and standards for Agile and Waterfall teams.
- Develop onboarding guidelines and contribute to playbooks for risk and dependency management.
- Lead Agile squads and coordinate Waterfall workstreams, resolving blockers and partnering with Product Owners and Technical Leads.
- Take ownership of all aspects of SaaS implementation, handling collaborator and vendor collaboration to drive successful outcomes.
- Align initiatives to portfolio goals and budgets.
- Coordinate across teams and vendors, handling dependencies and risks.
- Intervene in at-risk projects to troubleshoot and accelerate progress.
- Represent delivery health at portfolio forums.
- Expertise in Agile, Scaled Agile (SAFe), and Waterfall.
- Understanding of SaaS delivery, CI/CD, cloud deployment, SLAs, and integration.
- Familiarity with engineering and quality guidelines, governance, and change.
- Degree or equivalent experience; Agile/PM certifications preferred; Cloud/DevOps awareness.
- 3-5+ years senior delivery management experience.
