Reporting to the Manager, Grant Management and working as part of an international team of fundraising professionals, the Temporary Associate will play a critical role in ensuring timely delivery of high-quality donor reports and provide support in grant procurement and implementation processes. Collaborating with members of the Institutional Relations team, as well as finance and program staff, they will adapt and implement efficient systems to manage reporting deadlines, compose and copyedit reports for Rainforest Alliance’s institutional donor commitments. Under the direction of the Manager, the Associate will deliver targeted support on select projects/programs within the Development portfolio.
What You Will Be Doing
- Coordinate the development of high-quality reports to institutional funders.
- Play a critical role in carrying out cross‑departmental work streams by leading reporting processes, developing work plans, drafting and editing reports with required deliverables, managing appropriate formats, and ensuring accuracy in data management systems.
- Lead the execution of on‑time deliverables.
- Create highly polished final deliverables that follow required formats.
- Log completion of all deliverables in Salesforce.
- Coordinate with Global Internal Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Program staff to facilitate execution of new grant agreements and ensure documentation of grant requirements in the requisite record‑keeping systems.
- Input and track all reporting requirements for corporate, foundation, and government grants as needed in the donor database.
- Liaise with finance department to ensure that financial reporting is consistent with content and timing of technical reporting.
- Work in a highly collaborative manner, building the overall capacity of Rainforest Alliance’s fundraising teams and adapting as needed to RA’s dynamic funding and reporting priorities.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent of experience and education.
- Must have a passion for writing and demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality written deliverables.
- Detail oriented, resourceful, flexible and able to work under tight deadlines.
- Highly collaborative and skilled at working simultaneously with different stakeholders toward a shared goal.
- Two to three years’ experience in a non‑profit organisation with proven understanding of reporting and internal grants management.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across cultures and time zones.
- Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with fluency in English.
- Strong knowledge of conservation and sustainable development issues required.
- Experience utilizing databases to manage information, reminders and documents.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven work environment.
- Ability to work well both within a team and independently.
- MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) competency required.
- Experience with Salesforce preferred.
