Our client supplies a range of warehousing and distribution services to many household name, blue chip companies in the retail, hospitality and other sectors. They have recently moved into a purpose built, state of the art facility that substantially increases and enhances their ability to deliver service excellence to both their existing and future customers.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities within the logistics and supply chain sector. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, expanding market presence and delivering tailored logistics solutions that meet customer needs, while supporting the company’s strategic goals.

Sample Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across transportation, warehousing, and supply chain services.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, market research, and industry events.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pricing solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and service-level agreements with clients.
- Grow Ad-hoc customer base to support efficiency of operations.
- Develop and implement a robust backhaul platform for the company’s fleet.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client logistics challenges and offering customized solutions.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new customers in coordination with operations teams.
- Collaborate with leadership to refine service offerings and pricing strategies.
- Engage the marketing team to give the company an impactful online presence.
- Support the marketing teams to market all group services.
- Work closely with the operational teams to identify value add opportunities for new and existing customer.
