This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate / part qualified (ACCA or CIMA) Business Analyst to join a highly successful company. Our client is a leading Interior Fit Out, Manufacturing and Logistics business operating across the UK, with revenues of c.£150m and an enviable blue chip client base across the retail, banking, commercial and leisure sectors.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position is pivotal to the further development of the finance function. The Business Analyst will provide analytical insight into the Group’s logistics operation. The role will require a capable and IT literate candidate, ideally with experience of Microsoft BI.

Selected tasks and responsibilities for the Business Analyst include:

  • Day-to-day reporting on the business performance of all 3PL and Retail Contracts
  • Analyse monthly P&L cost variances, transport KPIs and stock reporting across all PRL warehouse locations
  • Act as partner with Commercial and Operations departments to facilitate successful execution against financial targets and evaluate financial impact of potential projects
  • Design, prepare and maintain forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis for both customer-facing and internal purposes, on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Prepare and manage the CVR process and update Microsoft Lists accordingly
  • Standardise and improve the Microsoft BI reports
  • Report and monitor key performance indicators
  • Ensure customer invoices are delivered accurately and on time
  • Oversee inventory / stock holding of c.£20m of the PRL Logistics businesses both owned and client owned, ensuring robust cycle count processes
  • Undertake data analysis reporting with a view to improving efficiency and improving process
  • Work with the operational team and to help road map and implement process changes to reduce costs and improve productivity
  • Periodic travel to local sites (Rotherham, Sheffield and Barnsley)
