We are looking for a passionate Complementary Therapist with significant experience delivering complementary therapies to babies, children, and young people with complex needs. The role is part-time (15 hours per week, Monday and Friday, with one weekend shift per month) and requires travel across the East Midlands to the hospice, hospitals, and community settings.

Location: Rainbows Hospice with travel within the community and to hospitals across Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire. A driving licence is required.

Hours of work: Part-time, 15 hours per week, Monday and Friday, plus one weekend shift per month as part of a rota.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide complementary therapy treatments such as aromatherapy, reflexology, baby massage, Indian head massage, and positive touch to babies, children and young people receiving palliative and end-of-life care.
Job responsibilities
  • Provide complementary therapy treatments to patients at the hospice, in their homes or in hospitals.
  • Provide complementary therapy treatments such as positive touch during end-of-life care.
  • Use technology appropriately to record data and maintain accurate records on SystmOne.
  • Assess clients’ complementary therapy needs as required.
  • Be aware of contraindications or precautions for the therapies practiced and adapt treatments accordingly.

Person Specification
  • Significant experience providing complementary therapies to babies, children and young people with complex needs, life-limiting conditions, or terminal illnesses.
  • Level 3 (or above) diploma in massage.
  • Membership of the appropriate governing bodies for the therapies practised and commitment to CPD requirements.
  • Hold your own insurance to practice complementary therapy.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold a UK driving licence.
