We have an established portfolio of funders, giving low level gifts to six figure donations.

We’re looking for a volunteer with experience of Trusts and Foundations fundraising to support the work of this team. Depending on your interest and skills, your role may include:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of the trusts and foundations pipeline through research and prospect identification
  • Assisting in identifying and profiling new trust and foundation opportunities, including potential high‑value funders
  • Helping prepare funding applications and reports, working with the Major Gifts and Trusts Manager and wider team
  • Contributing to maintaining a strong pipeline tracker, ensuring funder information and deadlines are up to date
  • Supporting donor stewardship, including drafting updates, reports, and communications
  • Providing administrative support, including document preparation, data entry and funding calendar management
  • Providing ad hoc support to strengthen the overall effectiveness of the Philanthropy Team

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of bid‑writing, trusts and foundations fundraising
  • Strong research and written communication skills
  • Reliable, organised and proactive in managing time and tasks
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
  • An understanding of or willingness to learn about the issues affecting families with a child with a life‑threatening or terminal illness.

Your commitment:

  • One day per week (not Tuesdays). This can be flexible, with agreement from supervising manager.
  • Ideally, this role is based at our Head Office in Leatherhead, Surrey but there may be an opportunity to offer hybrid/remote support for the right volunteer.
