We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our Speke nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the setting, ensuring outstanding childcare, strong team leadership, regulatory compliance, and a positive experience for children, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing nursery team
- Foster a positive, professional, and inclusive working culture
- Manage staff performance, supervision, appraisals, and development
- Operational Management
- Oversee the daily running of the nursery, ensuring smooth operations
- Manage staffing ratios, rotas, and occupancy levels
- Ensure effective administrative and operational systems are in place
- Quality, Compliance & Safeguarding
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements
- Maintain high standards of care, learning, and development across the nursery
- Lead and prepare the setting for Ofsted inspections
- Parent & Community Engagement
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers
- Handle parent enquiries, feedback, and concerns professionally
- Represent Rainbow Tots positively within the local community
- Support budget management and cost control
- Maximise occupancy and contribute to the nursery’s financial sustainability
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience in an early years setting
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
- Level 5 or above in Early Years Leadership or Management
- Experience managing Ofsted inspections
- Understanding of nursery business operations and occupancy management
- Paediatric 12hr First Aid certificate
