Job Summary
We are looking for a creative, organised and proactive Marketing Executive to join our busy marketing team at Rainbow Productions. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing (HOM), you will support the delivery of marketing activities across the business, including social media, email marketing, website content, PR, photography and exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities
Event Artwork Approvals
- Coordinate artwork approvals for licensed character events, liaising with clients and licensors to review advertising materials and arrange any necessary amendments.
- Check materials against relevant brand guidelines and ensure approvals are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Digital Marketing and Communications
- Social media: Manage Rainbow’s social media channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and TikTok. Create, schedule and publish engaging content, interact with audiences and monitor performance to help increase reach and engagement.
- E-marketing: Create and distribute email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and aligned with marketing objectives.
- Website: Assist the HOM in updating and maintaining the company website using WordPress.
- Monitor digital marketing activity and social media insights, identifying opportunities to improve performance and engagement.
Press Releases and Content Creation
- Write and prepare press releases, company news, blog posts and other marketing copy to support key business activities.
- Source and select suitable images to accompany marketing content and announcements.
- Ensure all written and visual content reflects Rainbow’s brand identity, tone of voice and quality standards.
Photography and Videography
- Attend events to capture photographs and videos for marketing and promotional purposes.
- Liaise with clients to obtain event photography and video content, ensuring files are organised and stored appropriately.
- Upload relevant videos to Rainbow Mascot’s YouTube channel.
- Create and edit short promotional videos to showcase Rainbow’s products, services and character appearances.
Exhibitions
- Assist with the preparation for industry exhibitions, including NFAN, IAAPA Middle East, IAAPA Europe, Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) and London Toy Fair.
Event Sheets
- Maintain event records, including client feedback and details of character appearances.
- Follow up with clients to obtain photographs and other content for marketing purposes.
Company Presentation
- Help maintain a professional and welcoming appearance throughout the company’s premises, e.g. ensure costume mannequins are dressed and displayed correctly and that photographs, displays and promotional materials are current and well presented.
- Assist with research, presentations and other projects that support sales and business development activities.
- Provide day-to-day ad hoc support to colleagues across the business.
Company Profile and PR
- Support the HOM to increase brand awareness and strengthen Rainbow’s market presence and profile across key industries.
About You
You will have:
- A creative eye, with excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Experience managing social media channels and creating engaging content.
- An understanding of social media analytics and the ability to use insights to plan future activity.
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach, with the confidence to manage day-to-day marketing tasks and contribute fresh ideas to the wider team.
- An interest in photography, videography and visual content.
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Mailchimp and Wordpress is preferred, but not essential.
Full driving licence preferable, as occasional travel to events may be required.
Accountable to: Head of Marketing
Hours of Work: 37½ hours per week – flexible working policy in place, subject to line manager agreement and approval
Salary: £28,360 + discretionary management bonus, pension and optional healthcare
