Overview
Rainbows Nursery, situated in the heart of Burnage offers a friendly, caring and safe learning environment for children from birth to 5 years old. Situated in a large converted public house in this leafy area, we provide a homely and caring atmosphere where children feel happy and relaxed.
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and playful apprentice to join our team and support the day-to-day care, learning, and development of young children in a nurturing environment. As an apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised childcare qualification and learn from experienced practitioners who value creativity, curiosity, and lots of messy play.
What Youll Be Doing
- Supporting children\’s learning and development through play and structured activities
- Helping to create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment
- Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, and nap time
- Encouraging children\’s independence, confidence, and social skills
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
- Taking part in planning and observations to support each child’s progress
Progression and Training
- The apprenticeship leads toward the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard
- Full training and support to gain your childcare qualification
- Up to 40 hours of on-the-job training over 5 days per week (days and times to be confirmed)
- On-the-job training includes 20% off-the-job learning incorporated as part of your working day
- Realise will deliver the training
- 26 weeks of initial learning and development, with the possibility of progression to higher roles
