About the Role

As our Fostering Team Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring that children, young people, and foster carers receive the highest standards of care, support, and professional guidance. You will provide strong leadership to a team of Supervising Social Workers, champion best practice, and ensure compliance with all regulatory, safeguarding, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership, management, and reflective supervision to social work staff.
  • Oversee the supervision, support, and ongoing development of foster carers.
  • Ensure compliance with fostering legislation, National Minimum Standards, safeguarding requirements, and Ofsted regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, local authorities, and partner agencies to achieve excellent outcomes for children and young people.
  • Lead on quality assurance processes, audits, and performance monitoring.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, service development, and foster carer recruitment initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and child-centred practice.
  • Support the agency in maintaining its Outstanding standards and reputation for excellence.

About You

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience within fostering or children's social care services.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing, supervising, and developing staff.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding legislation, and inspection frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams and build positive professional relationships.
